What Your Teachers Really Mean

When your teacher says: They really mean:

We may have a test on this material... You will definitely have a test, it will probably be hard, and it will most probably be tomorrow

I'm going to count to 3, and if you're not in your seat by 3, you're in big trouble! The teacher doesn't know what to do to you if they do indeed get to 3, so they hope you just do what they say and sit down.

Today we will be expanding your skills by "peer editing" I really don't feel like reading 100 of your reports, so I'll just make you do it for me
